How-To
Set up optional health Ritual connections
Keep a planning checklist connected to myHealthRoutine only when you choose.
Before you start
- Use myHealthRoutine for the optional companion connection.
- Apple Health connections require a supported iPhone or iPad and your permission.
Set up a blood-pressure Ritual
- Create or edit a Blood Pressure Check Ritual and choose one, two or three readings with separate times.
- Save the Ritual, then confirm each BP reading has a distinct time and its own planner occurrence. An existing BP Ritual stays at one reading until you edit it; changing the schedule preserves older and completed entries.
- Review the resulting planner tasks. Completing a checklist entry does not create a blood-pressure measurement.
Optional myHealthRoutine connection
Enable the myHealthRoutine connection if you want same-device completion exchange.
Optional Apple Health reading connection
For the optional Health route, open Settings → Rituals → Blood Pressure and choose Complete BP Rituals from Apple Health.
Set up medication Rituals
For medication Rituals, enter a local preset manually or explicitly choose medications to import from Apple Health. Configure the myHealthRoutine handoff only if wanted.
If importing medications, choose only the medicines you want in the local preset catalogue and check their name and dose before saving. Import permission does not automatically enable a companion handoff.
A configured myHealthRoutine medication handoff sends the selected medication details and completion or reopen action on the same device. Turning it off stops future exchange; it does not retract records already accepted by the companion.
Stop a health connection
Turn off a connection in settings to stop future exchange, and manage accepted health records in myHealthRoutine or Apple Health.
Confirm the setup is working
- Checking off a BP Ritual does not create a blood-pressure measurement.
- Only a matching existing BP task can be completed by the optional reading connection.
Only matching existing BP tasks are completed. Permission, device support and companion setup affect the optional connection. myDailyTasks does not store your blood-pressure measurement values.
