Coming in version 1.1

Data Management

The unreleased Build 11 candidate imports reviewed CSV rows as new tasks, restores preferences separately, or permanently deletes planner data after two explicit confirmations.

What it supports

  • Import a UTF-8 CSV file with the native document picker, review every parsed row, and confirm before any task is saved.
  • The title column is required. Optional columns are details, date, time, duration_minutes, recurrence, tag, priority, and url.
  • Every imported row creates a new task. Matching titles are not merged, configured tags are validated, and an invalid row or plan-limit failure stops the complete import instead of partially saving it.
  • Reset All Settings returns preferences to their defaults without deleting planner data, custom tags, calendar rules, the active storage location, or App Store purchases.
  • Delete All Data permanently removes tasks, rituals, 90 Day plans and goals, completions, history, custom tags, calendar rules, pending myBPhealth medication handoffs, and local Blood Pressure Check links and tokens after two warnings. App Store purchases and records already read or accepted by myBPhealth are not deleted.
  • Deletion cannot be undone or recovered by myDailyTasks. If the active store uses iCloud, the deletion also syncs to other devices.

Common questions about Data Management

Does CSV import replace matching tasks?

No. Every reviewed CSV row creates a new task. A matching title does not merge with or replace an existing task.

What is the difference between resetting settings and deleting all data?

Reset All Settings restores preferences while keeping planner data and purchases. Delete All Data permanently removes the listed planner records, pending medication handoffs, and local Blood Pressure Check links and unused tokens after two confirmations. Purchases and records already read or accepted by myBPhealth are managed separately.
