Import bill reminders from My Budget Canvas
Review a selected file before turning bill reminders into planner tasks.
Before you start
- Export a compatible reminder JSON file from My Budget Canvas.
- Use myDailyTasks on iPhone, iPad or Mac; normal active-task limits apply.
Steps
- Open Settings → Services and choose the My Budget Canvas file import action.
- Select only the JSON file you intend to import. The app reads the chosen file locally.
- Review the proposed Add, Update and Already Added results. Confirm only the reminders you want in the planner.
- Check the resulting tasks and scheduled dates. Importing the same bill again updates its linked task rather than creating a duplicate.
- Complete the task when its planning action is done. This does not mark a bill as paid in My Budget Canvas.
- Keep file import separate from the optional cloud bridge. That bridge is off by default and is not yet verified for customer use; file import does not require it.
Confirm the setup is working
- Reimporting an existing bill updates its linked planner task rather than duplicating it; source payment status is unchanged.
An invalid or unsupported file should be corrected at its source before retrying. Where bridge controls are available, disabling the bridge stops future checks; Clear Staged Bridge Data clears its local inbox, not imported planner tasks or source records. If left enabled, staged reminders may return on a later check.
