Release notes

Version 1.0

The first release of myDailyTasks brought daily planning, routines, longer goals, and weekly review together across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

Recent build updates

Unreleased version 1.1 Build 11 candidate

These notes separate the unreleased version 1.1 Build 11 candidate from earlier version 1.0 build 6 and 7 work. Local source and build evidence does not indicate App Store availability, approval, submission, or production deployment.

Version 1.1 Build 11 candidate data management

  • Settings can import up to 1,000 new tasks from a UTF-8 CSV file after showing a review preview and receiving explicit confirmation.
  • CSV imports require a title and can include details, date, time, duration, recurrence, tag, priority, and URL values. Invalid rows or plan-limit failures stop the complete import.
  • Reset All Settings restores preferences without deleting planner data, while Delete All Data permanently removes tasks, rituals, 90 Day data, completions, history, custom tags, calendar rules, pending medication handoffs, and local Blood Pressure Check links and unused tokens after two confirmations.

Version 1.1 Build 11 candidate timeline scale

  • Scheduled tasks shorter than 30 minutes use a compact card and reduced row spacing, making a five-minute task visibly shorter than a standard 30-minute task.
  • Longer tasks retain the larger standard presentation, and card content can still expand when needed for readable titles, metadata, and controls.

Build 7 private 12-week insights

  • The complete current-week Weekly Review remains available on the free plan.
  • Premium adds a 12-week completion-rate trend, recent and previous four-week comparisons, carryover totals, and weekday and tag completion insights.
  • All insight calculations use existing task history on device, with no third-party analytics SDK, tracking identifier, or task-content upload.

Build 7 Mac menu-bar refinement

  • A single checked-box icon uses less menu-bar space while retaining the myDailyTasks accessibility label.
  • The compact panel places open and completed counts side by side and highlights the next open task.
  • Quick actions and a short preview of today's tasks stay available without opening the main planner window.

Build 6 planning corrections

  • Returning a completed task from the Daily Planning timeline to the Task Queue preserves its completion and selected date while removing its timeline time and time-dependent reminder.
  • Task Queue cards show their scheduled date, with tasks scheduled for the current calendar day labelled Today.
  • Expected task durations can be adjusted in five-minute increments.
  • Unused minutes in a partly occupied half-hour remain available for another task.
  • Populate Work Day schedules open tasks from every tag configured as associated with Work.

Build 5 additions retained in build 6

  • Daily Planning follows the configured Remember Last Tag period in its editor, activity buttons, and timeline additions.
  • A saved task can move to a visible future date while retaining its other scheduling details.
  • Completing a multi-block task asks whether to complete one selected block or the whole task.
  • Deleting a Ritual clears its future tasks and dated Missed history while preserving completed task history and its definition audit trail.
  • Today and All Completed add accessible breakdown charts for status, type, tags, priority, timing, and carryover.
  • The built-in tag catalogue adds a removable myBPhealth companion tag once for existing installations.
  • Settings > Services > About & Support shows the installed version and build.
  • The Today’s Tasks Apple Watch complication supports circular, corner, inline, and rectangular positions and returns to Today when tapped.

Retained release corrections

  • Optional App Lock no longer blocks iPad startup while Face ID or Touch ID responds.
  • Mac weather guidance distinguishes system-wide Location Services being off from access being denied only for myDailyTasks.
  • The private CloudKit production schema contains the complete record model, while schema-maintenance code remains Debug-only.
  • Weather keeps the unmodified Apple Weather mark and its legal data-sources link visible with successful forecasts.
