How-To

Set gentle Watch transition reminders

Choose when the Watch prompts you to start timed work and how much information it shows.

Before you start

  • Use the latest myDailyTasks app on both your Watch and paired iPhone.
  • Premium, timed tasks available on the Watch and notification permission are required.

Steps

  1. Opt inOpen Watch Display → Transition Reminders and enable Transition reminders. Respond to the system notification prompt; leave it off if you do not want these alerts.
  2. Set timing and limitsChoose Before a task: 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Set Daily alert limit to 1, 3, 6 or 12 automatic alerts, then set Quiet hours with Quiet starts and Quiet ends if wanted.
  3. Choose privacy and soundSound and Show task title are off by default. Enable them only if wanted. They affect transition notifications separately from the app's task-time or daily-summary reminders.
  4. Respond to a reminderStart begins or resumes a five-minute focus session. Remind me later allows one extra alert after ten minutes. Skip reminder leaves the task unchanged; it does not complete or reschedule work.
  5. Pause a busy dayChoose Pause today's reminders to stop the remaining transition prompts for today. Resume today's reminders reverses the pause. Disable Transition reminders to stop future scheduling.
  6. Refresh after planning changesOpen the Watch app after changing or syncing timed tasks. The app prepares up to seven days from the tasks available there. Check system notification and Focus settings if you want those prompts to be delivered.

Confirm the setup is working

  • The saved lead time, quiet hours and alert limit remain when the settings reopen.
  • Skipping an alert leaves task dates and completion unchanged.

No alert may mean the task is untimed, complete, outside the scheduling window, paused, limited or silenced by Focus. Delivery also depends on watchOS. Do not create duplicate tasks to force an alert.
