How-To
Set a Focus filter
Use Apple Focus to choose which task states are visible in myDailyTasks.
Before you start
- Open Apple system Focus settings.
- Choose or create the Focus mode you want to configure.
Steps
- Add myDailyTasks as a Focus filter.
- Choose a visibility option such as All Tasks, Open Tasks Only, Priority A, Timed Tasks, Repeating Tasks, Tagged or No Tag. The list also includes completed tasks, missed Rituals and task-type filters.
- Enable the Focus mode.
- Return to myDailyTasks and confirm the visible task state matches the selected filter.
- Disable the Focus to return to normal app filtering, or edit/remove its myDailyTasks filter in system Focus settings. A visibility filter does not delete or reschedule the hidden work.
Confirm the setup is working
- Turning the Focus on changes visibility; turning it off restores the ordinary view without changing task records.
If the visible list is unexpected, check both the active Focus filter and any in-app task filters.
