Choose weather for Daily Planning
See weather for an explicitly chosen location and keep it separate from Pollen Alerts.
Before you start
- Use Settings → Weather on iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- Weather needs a network connection. Device location permission is needed only when you choose Current Location.
Steps
- Enable the planning displayTurn on Show Weather in Daily Planning. Enabling the display alone does not request location permission.
- Choose a location sourceChoose Current Location and respond to the location prompt, or choose City or Area and enter the place you want. A named place lets you plan without granting access to the device's location.
- Check the selected dayReturn to Daily Planning, check the displayed place and weather for dates supported by the forecast. If weather is missing, review the setting and connection rather than assuming clear conditions.
- Choose what tapping doesEnable Open Weather App on Tap if you want the planning weather display to open the system Weather app. Otherwise use the information shown within the planner.
Manage pollen separately
High-Pollen Medication Reminders has its own explicit area choice, subscription and update allowance. Follow the Pollen Alerts guide; ordinary planning weather does not itself enable pollen reminders.
Stop showing weather
Turn off Show Weather in Daily Planning when you no longer want the display. Manage location permission separately in system settings and Pollen Alerts separately in its own controls.
Confirm the setup is working
- Daily Planning shows the chosen area when a forecast is available.
- Using a named area does not require device location access.
For Current Location, check system Location Services and the app's permission. For City or Area, check spelling and choose a clearer location. Forecast availability and refresh depend on the weather service and connectivity.
