How-To

Use Siri with myDailyTasks

Open your planner or capture a task with the app’s supported voice commands.

Before you start

  • Install and open myDailyTasks on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  • Enable Siri in your device’s Settings or System Settings. Look for Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri; the label depends on your system version.
  • These shortcuts work within your existing plan limits; they do not require the 90Day planner’s Apple Intelligence features.

Try your first voice command

  1. Activate SiriUse your device’s Siri button or keyboard shortcut, or say ‘Hey Siri’ if voice activation is enabled.
  2. Ask for TodaySay ‘Open today in myDailyTasks’. Use the full app name rather than MDT so Siri can identify the app.
  3. Continue in the appUnlock your device if asked. The shortcut opens myDailyTasks on the current day. Check the date shown in the planner.

The six app shortcuts and what to say

Open Today: say ‘Open today in myDailyTasks’ or ‘Show my tasks in myDailyTasks’. Opens the current day; it does not read out your task list.

Add Task: say ‘Add task in myDailyTasks’ or ‘Create task in myDailyTasks’. Supply the required Title when prompted. This action creates a task and opens its planning date; it does not first open a draft for review.

New Task: say ‘New task in myDailyTasks’. Opens the task editor, where you can enter details and save when ready.

Rituals: say ‘Open rituals in myDailyTasks’ or ‘Show rituals in myDailyTasks’. Opens Rituals so you can review or manage your routines.

Blood Pressure Check: say ‘Set up my blood pressure check in myDailyTasks’ or ‘Plan my blood pressure check in myDailyTasks’. Opens Rituals, where you set up the check. It does not save a schedule or record a blood-pressure measurement by itself.

Weekly Review: say ‘Open weekly review in myDailyTasks’ or ‘Show my weekly review in myDailyTasks’. Opens the review for the current week; choose another week in the app if needed.

Capture a task by voice

  1. Activate Siri and say ‘Add task in myDailyTasks’.
  2. When asked for a title, say a short action such as ‘Pack my bag’. If no Date is supplied, the task is scheduled for today; Repeats defaults to Does Not Repeat.
  3. Check the task in the app before running the command again. Edit it there to add a reminder, time, priority or tag. Speaking those details as part of the Title is not a substitute for setting the task’s fields.

If Siri does not run the command

Open Shortcuts and find myDailyTasks, then try Open Today there. If it works by tapping, retry Siri with the full phrase above. These examples are the app’s English phrases; recognition can vary with Siri’s language and device settings.

If the actions are missing, open the installed app again and check for an available app update. Confirm Siri is enabled on this device. You can also create a shortcut with a distinctive name and ask Siri to run that name.

These instructions cover iPhone, iPad and Mac. For capture directly on Apple Watch, use the Watch task guide and its available input controls.

Confirm the setup is working

  • Open Today shows the current date. Add Task produces one task with the intended title and date; New Task opens an editor for you to save.

If task capture cannot finish, open the app and check the message, task allowance and existing tasks before retrying. These six shortcuts do not provide a general voice command to complete or delete a task.
